MORE ON MEG

Perhaps you don't need more reasons for this, or perhaps you would like help
convincing loved ones to contribute to GIFTING this to you.

NOW MORE THAN EVER

We must understand the the esoteric village does not look like it used to.

Families may not have the same access to in person support.
Living in a pandemic environment can mean that everyday, run of the mill tasks are no longer simple.
Like a trip to the grocery store.

NOW MORE THAN EVER

Terms like Postpartum Care / Fourth Trimester Care / The First Forty Days

has helped to bring attention to this vitally important  time but experience beyond book reading matters.

Your perinatal professionals must have robust knowledge
of the inner workings of the pregnant and postpartum body

NOW MORE THAN EVER

We must embrace this time and hold space for the concept

that we can be simultaneously evidence-based, holistically-focussed and time-honored.

The blending of a traditional, ancestral  approach aligns more healthfully with modern parenting.

NOW MORE THAN EVER

We must have a thorough understanding of the role of Food as Medicine
as a first step to leading back to full post baby health.

To understand the nuances of food in this highly unique timeframe using a culinary medicine approach.

NOW MORE THAN EVER

An understanding of what Postnatal Depletion is, how to recognize it & how to treat it.
How to provide deeply nutritious fuel specifically geared for the postpartum body.

NOW MORE THAN EVER

We need to maximize & optimize what we DO put in the postpartum body.

(it is more nutritionally demand than pregnancy + more depleting)

We need more specific foods during this time than a generic CSA
(what will you do with all that cabbage you shouldn't eat?)

New parents need more flexibility than a meal delivery, meal planning or meal kits
( Most aren't postpartum friendly, are wasteful, questionably sourced)

We need to be more structured & nutritionally robust than a meal train

(Meal trains are lovely, we can help guide them)

more focussed on the postpartum body

We must embrace seasonality & simplicity

We don't have time to source & shop for ingredients, especially ones we might not be familiar with.

NOW MORE THAN EVER

We want our dollars and cents to be going towards our community
Local, small businesses especially our farmers, shop owners and hyper local handmade good makers.

If we are buying online, we want to ensure it's ethically obtained with the least damage to the environment.
